Il progetto fa parte di un progetto Operativo Nazionale Italiano (PON)  finanziato con fondi europei ed è diviso in due moduli. Il secondo modulo "EuroPeer Education" è stato svolto tra ottobre e dicembre 2019 da studenti dell'IC Costigliole di Costigliole d'Asti, Italia e gli studenti della scuola primaria DR. FRANJO TUĐMAN BRELA, in Croatia. Gli studenti di seconda e terza media delle due scuole medie "Angelo Bellone" e "Carlo Vicari" dell'IC Costigliole, con un'età media di 12-13 anni hanno condiviso con gli studenti croati le proprie bellezze naturalistiche e patrimonio culturale cercando di illustrare gli aspetti culturali, artistici, storici e geografici più interessanti per valorizzare l'immagine del proprio paese in Europa e costruire un processo di peer education. Ciascuna delle due classi italiane è stata affiancata da docenti madrelingua e ha deciso come illustrare in inglese le bellezze del proprio paese seguendo procedure democratiche e inclusive come i brainstorming e il cooperative learning.

 

The project is part of an Italian National Operative Program grant-aided by European financing divided into two units. EuroPeer Education is intended to be developed from October to December. 12-15-year students from two Italian schools and two European schools will share their national wealth and natural beauties by introducing the most interesting geographic, historical, artistic and cultural aspects of their home country. The two Italian classes will be assigned by an English native teacher since the beginning of the course. The two native teachers will partecipate to the project as visitors. Each school will decide what part or aspect of their country they want to focus on and illustrate to their partner in order to improve the image of their nation. Students can choose how to explain the selected topic. The aim is to set up a process of peer education developing a deeper knowledge of European Union, a stronger European identity sense by using English as a vehicular language.
